Rep. Foley Controversy

What's the big deal about Representative Foley?! I mean honestly, the man was disgraced before his state and the entire country, he's admitted that he's gay (even though he's married to a women and has children), he's admitted that he has an alcohol problem, and he's resigned due to these matters. He has accepted responsibility, apologized, has taken action to help correct his problems, resigned from his public office, and still this isn't enough?! Now, the democrats are attack Speaker of The House Dennis Hastert from Illinois and calling for his resignation--where does it all end?!?!?!?! When President Clinton was found to have had sexual relations with Monica Lewinski, did he resign to protect the integrity of his office--HELL NO!!! Instead, he insisted that he didn't have an affair with this woman. Oh ok, so it's ok for Clinton to have sexual relations with a woman but it's not ok for Foley to simply send explicit e-mails? Now, I'm not saying that Foley should get a pass, quite to the contrary. I think it's sick and perverted what he did, it's immoral and isn't justified; however, he did do the right thing by resigning and protecting the integrity of the Congressional office, which is far more than I can say for "Slick Willie".
